A bargello quilt is one that is made of strips of fabric sewn together to create movement. These patterns look complicated, but many of the designs are very suitable for beginning quilters to both piece and draft using Electric Quilt 8.
In this class, we won’t stop at just drafting the traditional bargello quilts (although I do have a few cool tricks to share on creating those in EQ8). But you will also learn how to create some bargello-like blocks and additional layouts to highlight those blocks. All of this will be presented in 13 Easy Peasy video tutorials of 5-10 minutes. A video tutorial plus detailed step by step instructions will be sent to your inbox every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Cost: $30. For added savings, you may purchase a block or 3 or 6 months.
If you would prefer to start with a different Tech Know Quilters class, please feel free to drop me a note after your purchase.
Individual Tech Know Quilters classes may be purchased for $40 here. (These purchases are not tied to the subscription program.) April Showers Mystery Quilt - Finishing Up
The snow is melting and spring is in the air. In the April Showers quilt we will be finishing up by adding the final borders to the quilt. Check out how to draft the border blocks and the quilt using Electric Quilt 8 in this video tutorial.
Did you miss the earlier weeks. You can still watch here.

April Showers Free Piecing Instructions
With the April Showers mystery Electric Quilt project and quilt, I am teaming up with Tina Dillard the owner, designer, teacher and publisher of Quilting Affection Designs.
I will share with you how to create the quilt in Electric Quilt, and Tina will share with you how to actually make the quilt on her blog. Click here to get instructions for finishing the April Showers quilt in this week’s video tutorial. Here is Tina's beautiful pieced quilt.

Thank you for the April Showers project Kari. Thoroughly enjoyed 'doing' this along side you as the video ran (proves to me that I am getting better at 'knowing' what to do!). I still learned news things though! We are (in the UK) experiencing a very wet patch predicted to last another week at least so lots of April showers here!
