A bargello quilt is one that is made of strips of fabric sewn together to create movement. These patterns look complicated, but many of the designs are very suitable for beginning quilters to both piece and draft using Electric Quilt 8.
In this class, we won’t stop at just drafting the traditional bargello quilts (although I do have a few cool tricks to share on creating those in EQ8). But you will also learn how to create some bargello-like blocks and additional layouts to highlight those blocks. All of this will be presented in 13 Easy Peasy video tutorials of 5-10 minutes. A video tutorial plus detailed step by step instructions will be sent to your inbox every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Cost: $30. For added savings, you may purchase a block or 3 or 6 months.
If you would prefer to start with a different Tech Know Quilters class, please feel free to drop me a note after your purchase.
Individual Tech Know Quilters classes may be purchased for $40 here. (These purchases are not tied to the subscription program.) April Showers Mystery Quilt - Finishing Up
The snow is melting and spring is in the air. In the April Showers quilt we will be finishing up by adding the final borders to the quilt. Check out how to draft the border blocks and the quilt using Electric Quilt 8 in this video tutorial.
Did you miss the earlier weeks. You can still watch here.

Attn. Tech Know Quilters Current and Prospective Members
I am looking forward to May where I will be releasing my latest class on bargello quilts. These won't be just the traditional bargello quilts (although I do have a few cool tricks to share on creating those in EQ8). But you will also learn how to create some bargello-like blocks and additional layouts to highlight those blocks. Would you like to see the Bargello projects that will be included in the lessons? Join me on Saturday April 20, 2018 at 11:00 Central Time for a Facebook live reveal on the On Point Quilter Facebook page. You can also ask any questions on the class -- or the Tech Know Quilters program in general. Join me here. Hope to see you there. If you miss the live event, you may also catch the replay on my Facebook page. April Showers Brings May Flowers
The snow is melting, and there is no forecast for additional snow this weekend. It might be slightly optimistic, but I am looking for signs of spring by early May. Can I hope for some flowers (other than from grocery store)?
In the April Showers quilt we will be adding some May flowers to our wall quilt. Check out how to draft them using Electric Quilt 8 in this video tutorial.
For those that want to forget the showers (or the late snow storms), consider a quilt layout that just includes the flowers(no instruction provided).

My positive thoughts for spring aren't working very well these days. We are heading into our fourth snowstorm for the month of April (with a prediction of another 6-12 inches). However I will think positively. By the end of this mystery series it will be spring in North America. I can almost guarantee that.
In today's post we will continue on with the April Showers mystery quilt. During this session we will draft our raindrop block (I refuse to change it to a snowflake) and set it in the quilt.
If you missed designing and piecing the umbrella blocks, you can catch up here.

In Minnesota we had a cold (and snowy) start to April. But shortly we will be able to put away the winter coats, mittens, boots and shovels and take out our raincoats and umbrellas.
To build the anticipation for spring, I have a developed a mystery project. I hope you will join me as I guide you through the process of creating the April Showers project using Electric Quilt 8. Here are the blocks and quilt center that we will create this week.
