In my T Shirt and Panel Quilt class, students learned how to resize their T Shirt and Panel images so they could be used in designing a quilt. For today's free Electric Quilt video tutorial I thought I would take a panel and apply some simple borders that will highlight the panel. This design would be super simple to adjust for many different sized panels. This quilt or a variation using your own favorite panel, would make a great Christmas gift. The fabrics in this project were part of Timeless Treasures Country Holiday collection.
If you are interested in my mini-class in working with T Shirts and Panels in Electric Quilt, you can purchase a video download of the 1-1/2 hour class here. Or you could also purchase the entire T Shirt and Panel Quilt series.

Kari, thanks so much for the quilt panel video. You won't believe how timely this video is! I bought a puppy dog panel to make a Christmas gift quilt for my grandson but didn't know how I could plan a quilt panel on EQ. So glad I signed up for the Catch the Wave class and your newsletter, I'm learning so much and having more fun with EQ than I ever had! Dana

Kari would some of these lessons be repeated later? Loved this short video on borders for a panel but don't want to sign up now as I've enrolled for the easy peasy class and know I will simply get too confused with too much information.

Yes. Classes will be repeated -- usually 2-4 times a year (depending on the class). You always have the options of purchasing a previously held class and opting for the video downloads (which are recordings of the live class) and handouts for the class.

Wonderful video, thank you for all the sharing about EQ7 that you do!! When you say you imported and resized the panel...did you just take the image from the manufacturer site or what? Also tell me more about what you did for the resizing, please. I love working with panels but I never seem to get them to show in proportion.

I have this covered in a couple of different classes. Introduction to EQ7 has a full session on working with fabric images. http://www.onpointquilter.com/introduction-to-electric-quilt.html
