Are you excited to get started on the Goose Goose Duck Challenge? I've been busy working on the free videos this week along with the free quilting patterns and am looking forward to seeing your designs. If you haven't signed up for the challenge, please make sure to do that today. You won't want to miss any of the emails.
I also have two getting started videos to set you up for success. The first is on adding a new fabric collection from Electric Quilt. The second is on posting to a particular Facebook post (so we can see your work.) Have a great weekend. Goose Goose Duck Challenge starts on Tuesday
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 10th.
This is the starting date for a new two week challenge. During this free challenge I will be presenting both drafting (using EQ8) and piecing instructions for six blocks. And at the end of the challenge, you will be invited to join a webinar where I will share a number of setting options for your blocks.
I've been asked by those that are in one of my classes or receive my weekly newsletter if they are automatically enrolled in the challenge. The answer is NO. So please sign up using the link above if you would like to participate in the challenge.
Using the Free Fabric Downloads from Electric Quilt
Do you enjoy the fabric and quilt inspiration on the Do You EQ website? Each month Electric Quilt gifts us with a free fabric download that contains a perfectly cropped and sized fabric library with one of the latest fabric collections.
In this tutorial, I will share with you how to download that free fabric collection and populate a project with a fabric collection (or two). I chose to work with two collections -- Twilight Chic by Island Batik (issued in March 2019) and Icicle by Island Batik (issued in July 2019). You can download the fabrics referred to in the video here. I will be using fabrics from these two collections for my upcoming Goose Goose Duck challenge. Posting a Design from Electric Quilt to a Facebook Post
For those that are participating in the Goose Goose Duck challenge, I would love to see what you are drafting during the challenge. The best way to share your design will be in a Facebook post.
I will be setting up a separate post for each block designs and will give you a link to the post in the email. You will also be able to locate the posts on the Learning EQ Facebook Group.

You will be able to get the videos and the tutorials without joining Facebook. However there is not another way to post pictures or your comments. Comments are closed.
