I just got back from a fantastic time with the Lees Summit Quilt Guild in Lees Summit Missouri. They were very welcoming and a blast to work with. A number of ladies went through three Electric Quilt classes in two days to really get to know the software.
The last day was a piecing class for Whim Wham Stars where they had a chance to play with one of my favorite patterns. This one used 3 different rulers, which we had a chance to work with during the class. I am sorry to say I forgot to take pictures -- but hoping that the group will share their finished projects with me in the future. I also got a chance to spend the evenings with my sister and her family. Great meals and an introduction to 24 hours of back to back college basketball. Pentagons and Decagons
This week Electric Quilt posted a picture of a quilt on the Yahoo Electric Quilt group -- and were curious if their were suggestions on creating this in Electric Quilt.
I spent an hour and played with the concept and came up with this.
See how I created a couple of the "blocks" for this quilt in under five minutes.
Once the units were complete, I set them in a custom set quilt. Resizing and rotating was pretty much trial and error.
I have a couple of additional blocks that I hope to share in a future video. Featured Pattern - Christmas Presents

That was interesting. I like using the circle with the rings and spokes and didn't remember how to create the points inbetween with a dbl. clk. Fast and easy when you do it Sis. Thanks for sharing. Your quilt design is a marvel. Happy you had such a fine time teaching. You are great at it! 11/22/2016 04:23:56 pm
I am not super proficient with EQ but that was a great tutorial! Comments are closed.
