Black Friday
In the US, one of our customs is for the day after Thanksgiving to be a massive shopping day. Merchants all over the country have these phenomenal sales to lure shoppers into their stores.
When I was a bit younger, I recall getting up at 5 am to visit a couple of my favorite stores. My biggest Black Friday win was the year we went first to JoAnn Fabrics to take advantage of their Early Bird specials. Then it was off to Herberger's to get a free cookbook that was being given to the first 100 customers. Each cookbook also had a coupon in it. I was fortunate enough to get a $100 coupon in mine. I am pretty sure I retired the towels I purchased with that coupon many years ago -- but I still have (and use) that cookbook. What was your favorite Black Friday find? One Hour Electric Quilt Private Consultation with Kari Schell 50% Off Coupon
A number of you have told me that you have gotten stuck in the middle of attempting to draft your next great design in Electric Quilt 7. You know it can be done -- but you just can't seem to find the right tools to make it happen.
My one hour private consultation is designed to help you get unstuck and move your project from dream to reality (at least an Electric Quilt reality). For the next week (from 11/25/2016 - 12/1/2016) I am offering a coupon good for 50% off these one hour sessions. Sessions regularly retail for $99. So this is a fabulous bargain for $49.50. Limit 2 sessions at the discounted rate. You can use your sessions at any future time -- feel free to save them for your next drafting emergency. Or use them to focus on one-on-one training for a particular aspect of the program. Sessions may be completed on weekdays, weekends, or even evening time slots. We just need to find a time that works for both of us. We will use screen sharing technology -- so I can see your screen and you can see mine. You will also have the option of recording the session for future playback. Fine Print: Consultation sessions must be scheduled within 12 months of purchase date. Consultations must be completed in one session. Purchase sessions here. Enter BlackFriday in the coupon section to receive your 50% discount. Pentagon and Decagon Block 2
Last week I presented a video on some basic pentagon and decagon blocks. If you missed it, check out the post.
When putting together my rosette, I realized that I needed to include some setting pieces for my blocks so they all intersect. For this block, I added the setting piece to the actual block which made interlocking the blocks easier.
Next week I will cover the setting for these blocks.

Thanks for the heads up. This has now been fixed. (I tried to get everything done before leaving for Thanksgiving -- and then forgot to change the setting on the video.) I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks Kari! Not an inconvenience at all, you are always so quick to open the way if there's a little blockage going on for us. I'm caught up now. I look forward to next time as this progresses. Once again, love your work! Happy Holiday weekend. Comments are closed.
