Olympics Block 3 - Cross Country Skiing

Cross Country Skiing (i.e. Criss Cross")

The official name of this block is Criss Cross.  I found this in the Seminole Piecing library within Electric Quilt.

Click on the photo for the EQ rotary cutting instructions.  Block will finish at 12".

When cross country skiing, you frequently need to herringbone to get up hills.  As you can see from the photo below the marks left in the snow, create "criss crosses".

As a write this, we are in midst of another winter storm.  So I though I would do my own personal demo of cross country skiing and the criss cross steps -- down my driveway.

I'll guarantee that doing the quilt block is easier!
