I went to the alphabet blocks and found a couple that I thought might work.
After some playing, I realized I couldn't nicely just add the candy cane stripes. So I decided to just start from scratch and create the blocks in Easy Draw.
My video tutorial this week will share with you how to draw these candy cane blocks for yourself.

My quilt was colored using the Henry Glass Believe fabric collection.
Shoot for the Stars with EQ8
Are you just getting started with EQ8?
This one month class will help you jump start your learning process. To provide sufficient time for even the busiest person to learn, the material will be delivered via email. Each email (delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday) will contain a 5 to 10 minute video tutorial plus complete written instructions to draft part of a quilt. You will love your successfully designed quilt in EQ8. The class is currently on sale for $25 (regular $35). Join now. MN Quilters 2018 Mystery
Who doesn't like a good mystery? What about a quilt pattern that will be presented over the next year?
I created a really fun quilt (using Electric Quilt) entitled Flight of Fancy. This was designed specifically for Minnesota Quilters, who has exclusive rights to present the pattern for 2018. The quilt is a traditional design (with no curved piecing or applique). You can choose the size you want to make: Small is 66" x 78", Medium is 66" x 90", and Large is 90" x 90". When you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the introduction and fabric choice instructions so you can be ready when you receive your first clue at noon on January 1, 2018! You also have the option to join a private Facebook group administered by MN Quilters where you can ask questions and share progress. I have joined the Facebook group and plan to participate in the discussion.

where do I find the Believe fabric you used? Are the several sites online that you download fabric?

The fabric images were found on the Henry Glass website. (I like to go to the fabric manufacturer's and download my favorite collections for working in EQ.) I just did an internet search and noticed that ShabbyFabrics.com has the fabric in stock.

Kari, I cannot get the rotate option in the foundation piecing. I'm on a Mac, using EQ 8 - Version 8.0.15 (8.0.15) I've checked for updates and it says that is the newest version. Comments are closed.
