One of our typical family vacations when I was growing up was a quick trip to Canada. Although there was a border crossing (an exciting part of the journey) there was no need for passports and we enjoyed picking up a couple of things that we couldn't get in the states.
So to celebrate Flag Day (June 14th in the United States), I decided to create two flags. One for the US and one for Canada. I also decided to make the flags "wave". In my EQ tutorial this week I will share my tricks for doing this. You may also download a free applique pattern for the block. Just click on the block for the download.
My quilt incorporating both flags is entitled Border Crossing.

Thank you for the flags Kari. I may even have enough time to make one for the 150th Canada Day on the First of July.

Thank you for this video. I'm Canadian so really appreciate the Canadian flag. One day I'll have the time to sit and really use EQ7, in the meantime I enjoy watching your videos. Comments are closed.
