Introducing

Foundation Friendly Designs with EQ8 Class

Foundation Friendly Designs with EQ8 is a step-by-step online class that teaches you how to confidently draft foundation-friendly blocks inside Electric Quilt 8.

Whether you start with:
  • A pieced block
  • An appliqué motif
  • Or even a photo

You’ll learn how to break the design into logical foundation sections and draft it correctly from the start.

This class is ideal for EQ8 users who are ready to move beyond basic block drawing and gain true control over how their designs are constructed and sectioned.

By the end of the class, you won’t just be following instructions.

You’ll understand the process well enough to design your own foundation-friendly blocks from scratch.

Nancy Messuri designed multiple original foundation-friendly quilts during the class.

After creating the apple block, she shared:

“I was so excited for this lesson as I have been struggling to learn how to do this kind of drawing for a while.”

She then applied the technique to design a pear inspired by a Paul Cézanne painting.

Mary Groesbeck created a whimsical quilt inspired by an Anne Bright longarm design featuring “Lorax-like” trees.

Debbie Wheadon  discovered that foundation-friendly blocks work beautifully in baby block layouts — while remaining easy to piece.
