The opening ceremonies for the Summer Olympics are tonight. I am sure each athlete taking part in the games is dreaming about taking home a medal. There are actually four blocks to piece while enjoying the opening ceremonies. The rings may be colored in gold, silver and bronze and are connected to a ribbon. These will surround the center ring medallion (block 1). If you missed block 1, click here. Instructions for Piecing the Block
As a reminder, each day during the Olympics I will provide a free block for the quilt. The instructions for that day's block will be downloadable for 24 hours. Check in each day to get all the patterns at no charge. If you miss a pattern you may purchase it in my store. Drafting the Medal Block Using Electric QuiltHere is the diagram if you wish to trace the block in Electric Quilt. The video will include hints on drafting setting triangles in Electric Quilt. Block number 3 will be posted tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the reminders. I've been checking everyday just in case I didn't quite understand. And, thank you for your generosity in sharing and all the effort going into designing and making this quilt.

When I tape the pieces together for the medals they don't line up properly. Is there something wrong with the templates or???? Not sure about where to tape them. They are longer on one side. Comments are closed.
