Ta Da! The completed quilt top. I hope you enjoyed the process for both drafting the quilt in Electric Quilt and for making the blocks.
What was your favorite block? Did I miss your favorite sport? Share (if you wish) in the comments section. There will be a couple of bonus blocks given on the next two Fridays. Make sure to subscribe to my weekly newsletter (at the bottom of each blog post) to ensure you get a notice when each block is posted. Once I get the top quilted, I am planning to share some quilting suggestions as well. (One suggestion from Lilla was to replace the appliqued Olive branches with a Laurel wreath (think feather wreath with pointy feathers).

I have enjoyed every post and watching you put this beautiful quilt together. The only change I might make would be to use the word "character" instead of stamina. But overall it's wonderful just the way it is. Thank you for such a fun way to enjoy the Olympics.

Wow! Nice work Kari! I was trying to figure out how to place the branches while looking at the layout with squares. lol. Thanks for expanding my vision! I've had fun every morning looking for your post and drafting the blocks. There are so many things to discover with EQ and you always manage to bring in things I've not used before or only just a few times in the distant past. You are pretty much my only connection with the program and I SO enjoy learning from a pro as yourself. The little tutorial each week fits right into my schedule but I've managed to do one a day with you this round and I'm remembering it better, a lot of work for you though. I really appreciate it! I've enjoyed each day of this series Kari. It's been an amazing learning experience and I for one have learned quite a bit about the easy draw and patchwork draw tables. I hope I get an opportunity in the future to take a class with you, as I would absolutely sign up. You've already given me invaluable insite and help to learning more about EQ with this series and I truly appreciate it.

This is a beautiful quilt. I am sure going to display it every time the games. BTW, will you be doing one for the Winter games? You are so talented. I enjoyed learning more with my EQStitch. I think I am going to do a quilt on a family event based on this one. Look forward to your next one. Comments are closed.
