The finished quilt will be 38" x 50". This is a great size for either a baby or a toddler quilt.
This project is for you ---
- For those that want to work on their Electric Quilt skills or just want the practice, you can work along with me to draft the kite blocks and create the layout.
- For those that want to work on quilting designs,I will cover drafting a complementary design in Art and Stitch.
I picked up a layer cake bundle of Girl Crazy from Robert Blake Designs at the theme fabric for this quilt. I'm going to pull in a few tonal fabrics (the ones on the top in the photo). I think 23 10" x 10" pieces will be sufficient for this project. Electric Quilt is telling me I need 1-3/4 yards for the background. That seems like more than I need -- but I would suggest buying that quantity to be safe.
